Film Fantasy: The Batman Casting

With Captain America searching for its leading man, I thought we could take some time to divulge in some fantasy casting, Batman style. Below are my top 5 picks for the next batman movie villains.

5. Harley Quinn: Although Joker is dead, this villain is likely never to see the light of the silver screen. Missed opportunity.

4. Hush: Family friend of the Wayne's, one of the few villains who know the truth of the Batman. Excellent chance to show backstory on the Wayne's, and introduce a character that delves into Batman's tormented psyche.

3. The Riddler: Although his demenour is rather silly, with his question mark cane, and bowler hat, the riddler could easily be turned into a dark, demented adversary for Batman. Maybe introduce him as the first villain, then have him turn around, and start to help Bruce in the pursuit of the bigger villain.

2. Clayface: Years ago, the technology just didn't exist to do this villain justice. A former actor, always getting told he was too short, too fat, too plain, too white. He experiments with drugs, to help him change his appearence, to get a dream role. Turning him into a giant monster of clay, that can shape change into anything.

1. Bane: The movie "Batman and Robin" murdered this fantastic character, reducing him to a lackey. Bane orchestrated the escape of every villain in Arkham, releasing them, so Batman would have to capture them all. After weeks of non-stop, sleepless nights, Batman finally captures the last Villain, locking him up. It was in this moment, that Bane struck. Crippling the Batman, shattering his spine, and knocking him out for over a year. With the last two films using his greatest psychological villains, it's time to introduce the one man that can BEAT BATMAN.
