5 Actor's to Watch

These are several actor's to be on the lookout for in the next few years.  They all have a solid body of work, and I suspect will be breakout actors in the coming years.

You may not recognize Nate, his first big gig was as Tom Jeter on the short lived "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", and if you have seen the episodes K&R towards the end of the season you know he has serious acting chops on top of comedic timing.  Recently he has been popping up in comedies like "The Ugly Truth" and "The Invention of Lying", but keep a lookout for him in HBO's "The Pacific".

4. ANTON YELCHIN
Anton has been around for quite awhile, maybe you remember him as the pudgy kid hanging out with Anthony Hopkins in "Hearts of Atlantis"... maybe not.  He recently got some attention as playing Chekov in "Star Trek".  He already has a pretty impressive resume though not a well known actor, and something tells me in the coming years we are going to see more and more of him.

3. MATTHEW GOODE

Ever the English gentleman, he manages to not garner much attention for being in mostly British films.  Sadly, he has had some great parts and done fantastic in movies no one saw ( "The Lookout" "Imagine Me & You", Anyone?!) and somehow been in bad movies that everyone saw... well actually I don't know that anyone saw "Leap Year".  So here is to hoping he gets a leading role in something we will all get to enjoy, cause he really is very good.

2. JAMES BADGE DALE

Okay so I am going out on a limb with this one.  Besides "The Departed" and "Lord of the Flies"  I haven't seen him in anything except the first installment of "The Pacific".  He is really very enjoyable to watch and has already landed a part in Robert Redford's new movie "The Conspirator". I think this may be the long awaited break he has been looking for.

1. ANTHONY MACKIE

Anthony Mackie has somehow had the very bad luck of doing an amazing job in movies that have had critical acclaim, where everyone does such a good job, he seems to not get his due recognition.  He may be the only person to star in not one but two Spike Lee films and not become huge.  He is a very talented actor so I expect it is only a matter of time before everyone takes notice.  Go back and watch him in "Half Nelson" and "The Hurt Locker".  It is rumored that he is set to play Jesse Owens in a biopic, which is exactly what he needs!
